DoubleSpace Brand
Guidelines for using the DoubleSpace name, logo, and visual identity.
The Name
The name is a direct homage to Microsoft DoubleSpace (later DriveSpace), the disk compression utility shipped with MS-DOS 6.0 in 1993. DoubleSpace promised to double your hard drive capacity by compressing files transparently — you'd run it once, watch the progress bar crawl, and suddenly your 200 MB drive had 400 MB of usable space.
Our DoubleSpace does the same thing for the cloud era: it takes the storage you already own and makes it available everywhere. Instead of compressing bytes on a single disk, we sync them across every device you have. Same spirit — more space, less friction — three decades later.
Logo
The DoubleSpace mark represents an upload arrow passing through two horizontal planes — symbolizing files moving through the sync layer between your devices. The two lines reference the "double space" concept: two surfaces connected.
Wordmark
The wordmark is always set in JetBrains Mono at weight 600, all lowercase, with 0.05em letter spacing. The logo mark sits to the left at the same height as the text cap height.
Colors
Typography
DoubleSpace uses JetBrains Mono exclusively — for headings, body text, UI elements, and code. This reinforces the developer-first, terminal-native identity. No sans-serif fallbacks in the product UI.
